Fondazione Apulia Film Commission

Apulia Film Commission (AFC) was born in 2007 and aims to attract audiovisual production companies by providing subsidies to lower the costs of preparation, production and post-production of the projects shot in Puglia.

Its funding program to support audiovisual projects was created in 2007 and has been improved over the years. It now consists of an automatic system of funding depending on the expenses incurred in the whole region. Apulia Film Commission provides provides a variety of free services to production companies shooting in Apulia such as feasibility studies, institutional intermediation costs, photo and location scoutings, completion of administrative paperworks, a database for the recruitment of local professionals and suppliers.

Thanks to its facilities, in the years 2007-2014 AFC supported and assisted 330 audiovisual projects and generates an economic impact of € 42 billion in the regional territory.

In addition, AFC creates a festival network and a Cinema Network promoting quality film screening, manages the Regional Media Library and three offices, the Cineport Hubs (Bari, Lecce and Foggia), organizes a Coproduction Forum and promotes cooperation projects in the audiovisual sector. AFC is also the only Italian film commission to have inside a Media Desk, a tool of the Creative Europe Programme / Media to offer free information and to professionals and businesses in the cultural and creative sectors.
