The Andalucian Institute of Arts and Letters is a public law entity connected to the Andalucian Ministry of Culture. Their main role is to develop and implement support programmes for culture. Among others, it also has a responsability to support audiovisual productions and the film industry in the region.

Junta de Andalucia provides support to feature films, short- and documentary productions as well as animation.Their support can be given as developmental, production, co-production, distribution, or for the promotion of film and audiovisual works.

The fund was established in 2000.

Cine-Regio Representative- Mr Fransisco Fernandez Cervantes


Andalusian Institute for Cultural Promotion. Director of Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions.

Francisco Fernández Cervantes is an experimented professional in Culture Management. He has managed important cultural projects as Picasso Museum and the new Auditorium project; nowadays he is Director of the Andalusian Institute for Cultural Promotion, where he coordinates and supervises all public regional activities in the fields of performing arts and music, film, visual arts and audio-visual, and heritage.

He is Bachelor in Law, University of Malaga MBA in application of territorial development, Seville and Master in Territorial Development, University of Madrid.
